This video is a response to some attacks that Texas representative Erin Zwiener has faced online after defending books containing depictions of sexual assault.
I tried to get some nuance into this video, but here’s the gist: I want students to have access to books that name sexual violence for what it is, challenge the mindset that leads to it, and point out the damage that it causes.
