Last year when I had a reunion with my high school girlfriends (graduated in 1980) we talked about the fact that when we were in hs NO ONE TALKED ABOUT THIS STUFF. Not our parents, we couldn't read books about it, nothing. And unfortunately, it made us vulnerable to the many predators in our midst. A book is a fantastic way to start an age-appropriate conversations that give our daughters the knowledge they need to recognize problematic behavior and protect themselves.

Thank you so much for this! I can't express just how important these kinds of books and discussions are, especially as parents and child educators.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I think so, too, but apparently this is a controversial take!
